ROCKING NECK CAUL
The neck caul is 250mm long featuring a 'C' shaped profile that offers maximum support underneath the guitar neck. Adaptability to different neck shapes is assured by the rounded shoulders and cork extending to the outsides of the caul. The underside of the caul is curved to allow it to rock and is covered with rubber grip for stability in use. The caul can be used independently as a rocking rest or in conjunction with the jig base in a fixed set up.
 
JIG BASE
The jig base is 500mm long and features 2 horizontal fixed dowels for the caul to rest between. The angle of the caul can be adjusted to suit the neck and rocking is prevented by the dowel stops. There are 3 positions for the heel support block to suit different neck lengths & heel depths. (Please note that the dowel stops are permanently fixed onto the top of the base).
 
SUPPORT BLOCK
The support block has a dual function of supporting the heel of the guitar neck or raising the caul height depending on the configuration. The block is curved on the top with a friction grip for the heel and the underside has a machined cross tenon for use with the removable dowel.
 
REMOVABLE DOWEL
The dowel locates the heel support to the base at whichever position is required.
 
SET UP CONFIGURATIONS

FIXED SETUP FOR BOLT ON GUITAR NECKS
When positioned on the jig base the caul is tilted as required until the guitar neck heel is also supported. The heel block can be mounted in 3 different positions to suit the neck length. The caul is prevented from rocking by the dowel stops and the guitar neck is firmly supported along its full length.
 
ROCKING REST SETUP FOR SOLID BODY GUITARS
The caul can be used as a rocking rest independent of the jig base. The support block can be placed underneath the caul where additional height is required for angled headstocks.
 
ROCKING REST SETUP FOR ACOUSTIC GUITARS
The support block is positioned onto the base. The neck caul is placed onto the block.
 
SETUP FOR LARGER ACOUSTIC & 12 STRING GUITARS
The support block and caul are positioned perpendicular on the base which provides necessary clearance for the headstock.
 
 
The jig is crafted from high quality oak and ash, waxed for protection, ensuring durability and long-lasting use.
