The design of our notched edge tool is based on only checking the length of the fretboard that is capable of being deflected. The highest frets are omitted as these are past the heel/neck join and won't be affected by truss rod adjustment or string tension. This keeps the number of notches down to 18 and combined with the unique design of the notch spacing, allows each tool to be used for multiple scales across the ranges specified.
Our fret levelling tools have been specially designed to utilise standard 25mm wide abrasive roll (not stikit or PSA). The standard width allows any abrasive grit of preference to be used in the tool.
CUSTOMER REVIEWS
“I received the notched straight edge and just wanted to let you know I am very happy with it. The quality of the tool is outstanding. The integrity in the work you do is evident in the workmanship of your products. Poor quality tools are abundant and toolmakers such as yourself are providing guitar makers/repairers high quality tools, to in turn do quality work. Thank you”. J.W., New South Wales, Australia.
